BriefScape is a communications-focused advertising strategy solution that helps clients translate brand strategy into meaningful and effective brand communications.

At the stage that involves all the input before your creative advertising brief is agreed, it defines emotional connections between brand and consumer that could be exploited by brand communications. It includes semiotics analysis to decode sector communications.

BriefScape ensures that the advertising brief is based on real consumer insights, not myths or subjective beliefs. The constructive, creative-friendly process of preparing the stimulus material together expands and develops the creative team’s perception of the brand communication opportunity.

Beginning with a workshop to develop concepts using the TNS Research International image library, the brand team (creative team, marketing, research agency) uses existing brand strategy research to develop up to six communications concepts as collage concept boards or film-clip videos.

The next stage is qualitative fieldwork among key target groups, including ad non-rejectors and the creative mind-set. Respondents discuss comprehension of concepts and fit to brand.

In terms of outputs, clients receive a visual board/video montage showing the recommended communications concept; as well as feedback on past communications, competitive communications and sector semiotics.
